EU Buyer’s Guide to XBuyer: Duties, VAT & Delivery Timelines

If you’re in the EU and thinking of ordering from XBuyer, here’s the straight version — no “2-day free shipping” theater. Cross-border dropshipping has real trade rules, and you should know exactly where you stand before checkout.

What you pay at checkout

The price you see is the landed product price plus our margin. We source through a CJ-style dropship network, and our catalog is marked up about +20% over supplier cost to cover operations and the agent integration layer. That’s the number on the button. We don’t add a separate “handling” fee at the end.

Import duty and VAT: your responsibility

This is the part to read carefully. XBuyer currently does not collect EU VAT (we are not yet registered for OSS/IOSS), and we do not pre-pay import duty. For most consumer parcels under the de minimis threshold, no duty is due and your domestic carrier may deliver without a VAT charge. For higher-value orders, your local customs authority may assess import VAT (and, above threshold, duty) on delivery. Budget for that possibility rather than being surprised by it.

Why delivery is 11–13 days, not 2

Products ship from the supplier’s region to you. That cross-border leg — pick, pack, export, international transit, import, last-mile — realistically takes 11–13 business days. We’d rather you plan around the true number than promise a date we’d miss. Tracked logistics are pushed to your account once the supplier confirms dispatch. Returns and buyer protection

Our returns policy covers defective or not-as-described items. Because goods cross borders, return shipping is at the buyer’s cost unless the item is faulty — factor that into whether a low-cost item is worth returning. When in doubt, the FAQ answers the common cases.

Is agentic commerce relevant to EU buyers?

Yes — the same spend controls apply regardless of destination. An AI agent can still shop our catalog on your behalf, within a funded wallet and per-item authorization, and you stay in control of the budget. The only EU-specific caveat is the tax one above.
